Breeding conditions:

Rough-legged Buzzards bred, and were feeding young in August. A brood of Eurasian Kestrel was also observed after many years of the species non-breeding. Observation of young Common Buzzard hunting along marshy lake coast is the northernmost record of the species for the area.
 

Rodent dynamics:

Vole numbers were rather high.
